The aim of the project is to widen the pool of facilitators within ESN Poland by introducing the participants to the NFE and developing their both hard and soft skills. The development of the Pool of Trainers is one of the most important points in our long-term strategy.
The principal objectives of the projects are to equip the participants with knowledge about NFE and necessary soft skills to create a basic TSO and deliver a short workshop/small session or other NFE-based activity.
School of Trainers consists of online groundwork webinars and (if restrictions at the moment allow) offline “summary” event. The project last for 5 months, with 2 webinars per month, each on a different topic, creating a trainer’s development path. Each webinar is prepared by one or two experienced Trainers, most of them from Eduk8 Pool. The topics of the 2021 edition were changed slightly compared to 2020, in accordance with pax feedback. They included:
- Organisational meeting (Meet your colleagues)
- Non-formal education basics
- Activities during the workshop
- TSO creation
- The visual side of a training
- How to create adequate conditions during the training
- Online workshops
- Visual facilitation (hosted by an external trainer, this time online, due to pandemic restrictions)
- Recap and discussion panel
Due to the inability of organising an offline event, the 2021 “summary” event was moved online, which gave the participants a chance to test themselves in a challenging, online environment - the participants who are willing to develop a TSO (this is not obligatory at this stage as one’s learning process may not fit into timeframe of the project), do so in pairs and deliver it to the others. The Trainers overlook the process of TSO preparation and give feedback at the end.
Furthermore, other topics are also presented and discussed during the summary event, such as a discussion panel on handling the crisis situations, team building activities or feedbacking.
