We proposed a weekly cooking activity so that our international students could learn how to cook typical dishes of our territory, Salento.
Furthermore, In these classes priority has been given to recipes with a high percentage of vegetables and "poor food" , promoting an healthy lifestyle
In these labs our international students had the chance to learn how to cook typical recipes of our land, Salento. In the month of March we cooked 5 recipes. In this case we cooked a typical, green and poor recipe: "fave e cicorie" (fava beans puree with chicory).
It was an amazing experience, especially for our vegan and vegetarian students that really appreciated the activity. We demonstrated that eating healthy doesn't mean eating just salads but that a healthy way of cooking is possible.
