Goal of the Activity
The goal of the activity was to promote inclusion in society of the LGBTQ+ community and raise awareness about gender and sexual orientation equality.
Description
The Pride Parade (known simply as "Pride") is an event that celebrates LGBTQIA+ self-acceptance, achievements, legal rights, and also as a way to raise awareness on legal rights such as same-sex marriage. It takes place in Bologna annually.
ESN volunteers and international students gathered in the ESN Bologna office to draw posters and do Pride-themed make-up. They then went to the starting point to start the Pride march all together. The march started from Piazza XX Settembre.
By organising this activity, the organisers want to contribute to the following Sustainable Development Goals
