The goal of the "Escape Room" event is to provide participants with a challenging experience where they must use their problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork to discover clues, solve puzzles, and complete tasks in order to "escape" from a themed room within a set time limit. This engaging and interactive event aims to foster communication and collaboration among participants while overcoming the language barrier that exists between Erasmus people, and also offer a fun and memorable adventure that tests their critical thinking abilities and attention to detail.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by enthusiastic event coordinators who briefed us on the rules and objectives of the game. Each participant was then assigned to a team and once teams were formed, we were presented with a choice of themed rooms, each with its unique storyline and set of challenges. After deliberating, each team selected a room that they felt most drawn to.
Inside the rooms, we were immediately thrust into a narrative that required us to search for hidden clues and solve intricate puzzles. Each riddle we solved brought us closer to unlocking the next step of the mystery. Teamwork was crucial; everyone’s ideas and perspectives were needed as the solutions often required creative thinking and collective reasoning.
After a whirlwind of code-cracking, puzzle-solving, and clue-finding, teams began to make their escapes. The feeling of exhilaration and accomplishment was palpable as each group successfully concluded their adventure. Once all teams had escaped their rooms, we gathered to share our experiences and discuss the different challenges we faced.
