The goal of the activity was to bring local students in contact with the difficulties that people with disabilities face in their everyday life. Through a series of activities we eliminated one sense or skill of students and we asked them to perform a particular activity in a different way. Thus, students would realize that a disability does not mean that we are unable to do some things but on the contrary, we find different ways to perform them. Moreover, they would realize that these people are not so different since they find alternative ways to perform some activities and they do so in a very successful way.
π€©Are you ready to have some fun with kids in a different and special way by using all of your senses?πππ
Do you want to experience what volunteering for the local community feels like?
Through a series of tasks and games, you will have the opportunity to discover along with the students how our senses work.
Maximize them and help kids find out what kind of difficulties people with disabilities face during their daily life. This visit at the "6th Primary School of Menemeni" will be an amazing experience for you. There will be games and activities for all of you to bond and interact with the kids.

Local students realized that different people function differently however this does not exclude them from anything, since everyone is able to enjoy different things in different ways. They also had the chance to experience the difficulties some people face but they also understood that practice makes perfect since they themselves improved their skills in just a little time of practice.
