The goal of the activity is to provide participants with an opportunity to explore and experience the natural beauty of the Bucegi Mountains through a casual and enjoyable hike. Additionally, the activity seeks to promote outdoor recreation and community engagement among participants, encouraging them to connect with nature and create memorable experiences together.
The hiking excursion commenced from the meeting point at Gara de Nord at 9:20 AM on Sunday, January 14th. Participants were advised to come prepared with essential items including hiking or waterproof boots, layered clothing for varying weather conditions, ample hydration, snacks, cash, and raincoats.
This hike was designed to be a casual walk in the woods, offering a relaxed experience for all levels of hikers. Each participant was responsible for purchasing their own train tickets individually from Bucuresti Nord via the CFR official website. Student discounts were available with a stamped ID card from the host university.
The hike began and ended in Busteni, with the departure train leaving Bucharest at 09:57 and arriving in Busteni at 11:42. Participants were free to choose any return train departing Busteni after 16:00, providing flexibility for those wishing to explore the Predeal-Busteni area further or heading straight home.
