The goal was to plant seedlings in the forest with international and local students from Poznan.
International and local students from Poznań embarked on a meaningful journey to the State Forest in Grodziec, where they collectively planted nearly 2,500 new trees. This eco-friendly initiative not only contributed to the environment but also fostered a sense of community and teamwork among the participants. After several hours of diligent labor, the group took a well-deserved break and visited the educational center to explore the natural exhibition, gaining insight into the diverse flora and fauna of the region.
The day concluded with a communal dinner alongside the forest workers, providing a unique opportunity for the students to engage in enriching conversations. They discussed life in the rural area, gaining a deeper understanding of the local culture and traditions. The forest workers also shared their experiences and the realities of their job, highlighting the challenges and rewards of working in forestry. This exchange of knowledge and experiences made the day both educational and memorable for everyone involved.
