The main goal of this activity is to collect relevant information ESN Slovakia members possess regarding the knowledge of mobility opportunities and rights as a European citizen. We know that our members (members of European association) have a better overview than their peers, however we don’t know to what extent.
This focus group had 12 participants. The discussion was held on the premises of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica during our National Assembly in June. Our Focus Group consisted of participants that experienced mobility before and those who haven’t, as well as those who participated in active citizenship and those who haven’t to its full potential.
Key questions consisted of what motivates them to go abroad, what is their dream/most suitable destination, what mobility opportunities they know as well as their rights and freedoms as European citizens, what are the biggest barriers when deciding to go on a mobility and what support they need, what are the impacts of student mobility and how they benefit them, roles of international opportunities and promotion of the upcoming European elections.
The PowerPoint presentation with the guidelines were screened during the discussion, so it would help us as presenters and our participants.
