Our goal was showing international students an interesting and amazing Venetian palace, hosting a wonderful exhibition.
We started the tour all together of this palace, founded in the 1500s as a gothic building but rebuilt in the 17th century in the style and form we can now enjoy. After being the home of the Mocenigo family, in 1985 the building became a museum and now the various rooms host paintings, beautiful frescoes and lots of beautiful furniture, elegant and rich accessories and garments that evoke the life and activities of Venetian nobility between the 17th and 18th century. We could also admire some beautiful gowns donated to the museum by the famous designer Alberta Ferretti. But Palazzo Mocenigo was not all about gowns and paintings, it also offers an interesting section dedicated to perfume and its history.
