Italy
participants
The goal of this activity is to introduce international students to Italy, promoting its cultural, artistic, historical and natural heritage. This is accompanied by the goal of disclosing popular customs, learning about customs and traditions, typical products and events, trying to bring the most authentic and unobvious contribution possible.
The activity takes place in episodes, i.e., thematic meetings concerning Italy (for this semester they were: How to survive in Milan, South Italy, North Italy, Christmas Edition). Each episode is organized by 4 ESNers who are the speakers and manage the workshop activities, while other ESNers help in the overall execution of the event. Each episode lasted about 2 hours, with one half consisting of a frontal presentation given by the speakers and the second half devoted to activities that actively engage the international students. These activities are for example, quizzes to be done in groups, games of linguistic or interpretative skills and were always done in teams so that the students could cooperate, and were closely related to the topics covered in the preceding presentation.
