Objective / Goal of the activity
Students were discovering new places in Joensuu by going one significant place to another. They were also picking trash on their way through the city. The teams which were visiting most of the places and picked the biggest amount of trash won a prize.
Description
Explore the city, discover as many points of interest as you could and take pictures of them to
gain points and clean the city on your way.
Result of the activity
The activity was very successful, many people signed up and they all enjoyed the competition and
the sightseeing (the good weather helped). They were also generally enthusiastic about the idea of
picking up the trash and the outcome was amazing (10 kg of garbage picked).
