To get educated from the professional trainers from a
well-known search and rescue association in who are experienced in the real-life disaster fields.
Participants gathered in Mint Garden for the training session. The experts from DEAK (Doğal Afet Arama Kurtarma) Association were all ready to give an
informative presentation about disasters. They were professional rescuers and all of them were involved in an active rescue mission in past years. One of them,
especially, was responsible for raising special K-9 Rescue dogs. The O.C began translating the presentation so that everyone can understand and get informed in case of such unfortunate circumstances.
The experts were not only informative but were also keen on showing the participants how to act and how to not act in a disaster. Most of the participants were
amazed by the information that they were giving. During the session, unfortunate earthquake events in our country in past years, the possible and the safest ways to avoid them and how important it is to raise high awareness in Türkiye were also talked about. This is critical because; a person with high awareness, even if they are not a key person in such events, can and will do their best part to help from their side, and in long term where the people with high awareness are in majority, the possibility to evade such event will compound in an upward spiral in which we protect ourselves to a maximum level where we can protect our greatest losses as humans.
The event ended successfully, leaving participants feeling informed and empowered.
