The objective of this activity was to make Erasmus students understand the benefits of equine therapy and to help the Pegaz association by volunteering for a day.
Equine Therapy (also referred to as Horse Therapy, Equine-Assisted Therapy, and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy) is a form of experiential therapy that involves interactions between patients and horses. Equine Therapy involves activities (such as grooming, feeding, haltering and leading a horse) that are supervised by a mental health professional, often with the support of a horse professional. Erasmus students had the change to know more about Equine therapy and try it themselves. After that they helped Pegaz volunteers with their daily tasks that include caring for the horses and the environment where the horses live.
The Erasmus students were very happy with the new experience and the volunteers at the Pegaz Association were very kind.
