Goal of the Activity
Assist newly-arrived international students in getting acquainted with using a bicycle as a daily mean of transport and understanding Dutch traffic rules.
Description
Participants met in a small group outdoors and received a presentation about basic rules of cycling in the Netherlands, how to use a bike and useful tips for getting around Utrecht on a bike. Thereafter, each participant was paired with one volunteer who assisted them in practicing their biking skills by following a beginner-level route with little traffic and examples of various traffic signs.
