The workshop on consent was an important training session designed for ESN volunteers. During the session, we explored the concept of consent, delving into its meaning and practical application in various contexts.
The workshop was structured in two main parts: first, we defined what is meant by consent, using practical examples to clarify its core principles. Then, we analyzed real-life scenarios, fostering discussions on how to handle them appropriately and respectfully.
The workshop was led by the National President of SISM, Antonino Pio Bascetta, who provided clear explanations and guidance on how to act in sensitive situations to ensure a safe and respectful environment during the event.
This workshop was a crucial step in preparing all volunteers to handle potential situations involving consent during ESN events, an in particular during the IV National Platform of ESN Italy, reinforcing the values of respect and inclusivity that are central to our mission.
