The goal of the activity was to connect international students with children from families in risk of exclusion through the realisation of crafts for the Fallas festivity
Proyecto Hiedra is a project which aims to help children from families in risk of exclusion, by doing activities with them after school. On this day, international students and ESN volunteers spent the evening with them, talking about fallas festivity and making crafts related with this festivity. ESN volunteers explained both children and international students how to make the crafts, and they made them together. As most of the children are foreigners, they also exchanged info about typical festivities in their natal countries with the international students. The crafts made were used for a theme party.
We exchanged a lot of info about our cultures, learned a lot and spent a great evening together. The crafts made were used for a theme party.
