Bring members on a trip to a new city in their host country, spend time together and meet other ESN members from Cork. 

Description

Join us for an unforgettable weekend exploring Cork, Ireland’s vibrant southern city, and the beautiful seaside town of Cobh — the final port of the Titanic! 


 

Itinerary trip to Cork

Day -1 

7:00 AM - Departure from Eyre Square (cross from Oconnells)

Travel time: Approx. 3h30 (stop for coffee)

10:30 to 11am- Arrival in Cork

Drop-off point: Sheila’s hostel (leave luggage and go for lunch)

11:30 to 1pm - free time for lunch

Afternoon: free time for walking tour,or rest in the hostel

Walk to: The English Market (famous food market, ideal for browsing)

Then to: Shandon Bells & St Anne’s Church (view of the city from the top)

End at: University College Cork (UCC campus – peaceful walk with gardens and historical buildings)

Note: Self-guided tour with clear route maps and brief historical information will be provided. If desired, a professional guide can be booked separately (contact info provided on request).

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM - Lunch Break

Suggestions for coffee

The Ivory Tower (local eatery)

Café Gusto (for a lighter bite)

O’Conaill’s Chocolate Café (for those with a sweet tooth)

1:30 to 5pm - Free time to explore Cork

Visit any nearby attractions or simply relax at one of the many cafes or shops.

Shopping and cultural experiences available in the city center.

TBC time - Meet with Cork Students for a social night (potentially dinner as well)

Day 2: cobh

9:00 AM - Departure to Cobh

Travel time: Approx. 25 minutes by bus.

Cobh Highlights:

Cobh Heritage Centre – learn about Cobh's history and its role in emigration and Titanic’s last stop.

St. Colman’s Cathedral – admire the architecture and panoramic views of the harbor.

Cobh’s colorful townhouses – perfect for a leisurely stroll.

12:00 PM - Lunch in Cobh

The Quays Bar & Restaurant (great seafood)

Cobh Bistro (casual dining with a view)

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM - Free Time to Explore Cobh

Additional time for sightseeing, shopping, or relaxing before heading back to Cork.

4:00 PM - Depart Cobh for Cork
