The purpose is to favour items re-cycling, so that you don’t have to throw away something that can still be used, in order to reduce resources waste and to make people aware of clothes impact on the environment.
The Erasmus guys could come to our offices and leave clothes/shoes in good state, and got a corresponding number of tickets. After one month of clothes collection we had collected 110 items, there has been a “market”, in which the Erasmus students could “buy” other clothes using their tickets.
At the end of the “swapping event” the remaining clothes have been donated to HUMANA, an association.
Both internationals and volunteers showed interest towards the topic, broadening their knowledge about little actions that can help improve our sustainability.
