The purpose of the activity was to raise awareness among participants on the theme of the environment and the importance we have in making it better with small gestures, such as separate collection or participation as volunteers in initiatives like this.
On the occasion of Green Month, organized by ESN Italia to enhance the national days of "Puliamo il mondo" of Legambiente, we decided to participate and help Legambiente Venezia in the collection and differentiation of waste and in cleaning one of the most degraded areas of the Venetian mainland: the area between via Righi and the VEGA complex. In addition to material help, we also helped Legambiente Venezia in sponsoring the event through all our social channels.
It was the first time for us to participate in a clean up on the mainland in Mestre. Our Section has provided useful material for international students to collect, such as resistant gloves.
In addition to Legambiente Venezia, the Veritas group also participated in the initiative, which manages the collection and disposal of waste in the city of Venice.
