The goal was to gain more experience about the environment protection, and see the result of the cleaning process at the end of the event. Another goal was to encourage the students to follow a more environmentally conscious lifestyle. Also we saw how a little act can mean a lot to the natur around us.
On a sunny Sunday we met local students and international students in front of the university. We provided rubbish-bags and gloves to the cleaning, to pick up the rubbish. To the picnic part we had blankets and some cookies. We followed the route together and started to pick up the rubbish aroud the campus. After we finished , we went to the park callwed "Nagyerdő" and there have fun together. We player cards and board games. The students brought teir own mugs and we also provided some, so the amount of the used platic was low. The duration of the cleaning part was 1,5-2 hours, and the picnic ended around 7pm.
Now we have a cleaner campus and the students were really surprised about the amount of the rubbish, because it was more that they expected. They said that from now they will pay more attention to environment protection.
