The main purpose of this activity was to commemorate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science through the organization of a film forum. Through the screening of the initial movie "Hidden Figures," which addresses the evolution of women's roles over time, the aim was to encourage reflection and debate on the position of women in society and how it has transformed over the years. Additionally, as an event organized by the GTP of Social Inclusion, the intention was also to achieve the integration of Erasmus participants, in addition to addressing controversial and topics of interest to the community.
The film forum was an initiative in commemoration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. To carry out this activity, responsibilities were assigned to ESN Santander volunteers to perform various tasks. Some volunteers were in charge of informing Erasmus participants about the event through WhatsApp and AMP. Others took care of purchasing the food that was shared during the event, creating a comfortable atmosphere that fostered well-being, interaction, and collaboration among participants. During the event, the activity coordinator provided an initial introduction to the theme before starting the screening of the movie 'Hidden Figures.' Subsequently, a dialogue was initiated, allowing all participants to share ideas about the historical and contemporary relevance of women's presence in science and other social, cultural, professional, and other contexts.
