Goal of the Activity

The goal of the Activity was to teach our Erasmus an Italian volleyball Game "Campo Reale"

Description

The event consisted on playing campo reale at the Parco della Cittadella of Parma

EXPLANATION Rotating tournament. It is a circuit in which the teams compete to conquer the Campo Reale. Each team has only one point available to be able to conquer the Field, if it makes a mistake it must give way to the next team, if it wins the point it also conquers the Royal Field. How long will you last in the Royal Field? Who will be able to snatch the most points while keeping the Royal crown (i.e. points scored in the royal field)?

TECHNICAL NOTES The regulation is that of volleyball, the teams can be 3x3 but also 4x4 or 5x5. It is worth blocking, crushing, like a real volleyball match only that the sets last 1 point and the teams must be quick to enter. The teams always enter from the NOT real side of the pitch (in the example, they enter from the right). the first point is not counted because otherwise the team starting on the left would have an advantage without having done anything. The tournament can be time-based (when the time runs out, whoever has scored the most points in the real field wins the final victory), or score-based (the first to reach 10 points wins). Recommended to play 2 or 3 games (if timed, maybe 20-30 minutes per game). If the participants have difficulty with the opening stroke (a shot that often causes difficulties) it can be decided to use the referee as a "beater": in this case, the referee who is near the net throws the ball to the team of the real field who must make 3 passes (or those that succeed) and throw the ball into the opponent's field. This strategy is used when the players are inexperienced and find it hard to hit or receive an opponent's serve, in this way they don't risk that the points are made only in serving and the players don't play.
