The purpose of the trip are some different. First of all, discover some amazing places of Venice lagoon as Murano, Burano and Sant’Erasmo islands. During the visit of this places people also learn some typical aspects of Venice culture as the manufacturing of hand made glass and the little shops in Burano selling some typical objects. This is an occasion for people to discover some part of the lagoon that aren’t so easy to reach normally.
Another important purpose is, for sure, to have fun and party all together. This is guaranteed since people take part to a no-stop party lasting around 12 hours, having an amazing day all together with people met during the semester.
The boat party is a day trip on a ship through some amazing places of the Venice’s lagoon as the islands Murano, Burano and Sant’Erasmo. In this trip are involved around 200 Erasmus students and 50 ESN Padova volunteers. People can join the event paying a fee around 20 euro thanks to ESN Padova that puts some money and effort the make possible to give the best experience at the lowest price.
In the morning, people from Padova take buses organised by some volunteers and they arrive at the harbour near Venice to get on the ship that is reserved only for us. The ship leaves the harbour around midday and the Trip starts!
During the way drinks and food are prepared and served by volunteers and for sure there’s music with a deejay so the party starts since the morning, dancing and having fun.
The first stop is Murano island. That place is very famous for the production of hand made glass and people have the opportunity to enjoy a show presented by some artists of the hand-made glass where they show how they work and produce glass objects. The volunteers divide people in groups and let them access in the glass laboratory.
After this stop the ship leaves, some food and drinks are served again and the party goes on until the second stop: Burano island. This island is known for the particular, cute and colourful houses. During this stop the Erasmus students have the time to visit the island or just relax.
Last stop is Sant’Erasmo island where the people can have a bath in the sea or lay and relax on the beach.
After this stop the ship leaves and the dinner is served. After dinner the night party starts with drinks, music and dancing time. During the party normally is made the proclamation of the winners of the contest elected by the people, it changes every year with new ideas.
During the way back to the harbour is possible to have an amazing night time view of the city of Venice.
The ship arrives at the harbour around midnight and the trip finishes.
