To volunteer, leave our mark, give a little bit of our time to those in need
This event was organized by Serve The City Brussels; it is an event happening every month, where they gather a lot of people and put them in volunteering projects for an afternoon. This year, we went with our Erasmus and international students; we signed up and were put together, in a project of helping refugees and asylum seekers. During an afternoon, we picked up litter in the parc where some of them sleep, we made sandwiches and distributed coffee, tea, sandwiches, fruit and cookies, and played some sports with them (basketball, football, etc.).
It was a great experience. We have had good feedbacks from the students participating; they really enjoyed being able to help and volunteer during their Erasmus experience.
