Goal of the Activity

The aims and objectives of the NGO Toolkit Acquisition Guide are to provide Local Sections with a roadmap and guidance to effectively and cost-friendly acquire the tools and resources they need to achieve the ESN mission. The specific objectives of the initiative include:

  • - helping our Sections understand the importance of effective toolkit acquisition and the impact it can have on their volunteers’ professional competencies,
  • - providing our Sections with practical guidance on how to identify their needs and prioritize their acquisitions,
  • - assisting our Sections in researching and evaluating different tools and resources available in the market,
  • - helping our Sections ensure effective implementation and use of the tools acquired.

The ultimate goal of the NGO Toolkit Acquisition Guide is to help our Sections effectively acquire the resources they need to provide better services to international students and to educate them on professional tools that they will potentially use in their professional career.

Description

The NGO Toolkit Acquisition Guide is a resource designed to help ESN Poland Local Sections effectively acquire the tools and resources available for NGO organisations. It was created in order to implement those tools in daily volunteer-based work of Local Sections, which in turn contributes to improvement of services provided by them to the international students, as well as improvement of volunteer knowledge on professional tools, easily transferable to their future position on the job market. The guide is intended to help them make informed decisions and present them a cost free or more financially responsible one-stop-shop with commonly used software, including Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Asana, Trello, and Monday. As a result, the Sections may optimize their operational processes via specialized software and improve the professional competences of their Members. The initiative includes five comprehensive guides that cover the various aspects of the acquisition process and provides practical advice and best practices. The whole process was conducted by the Chair of our National Fundraising Committee, who is professionally engaged in this field.
