The main goal of this event is to promote the artistic expression of the Erasmus students who participated in the Drama Team and the Music Team of ESN and provide an opportunity for the rest of the students to experience a musical performance in English. The idea was to create a cultural environment where the art of theatre could be shared and enjoyed.
This event had 3 objectives, with the very first of them being the cooperation of ESN volunteers and the Erasmus students from around the world. Our aim was, from the side of the audience to attend an English play in a country where it is very hard to find a theatrical show in an international language, and from the side of the performers to participate in musical production and show off their talents.
The ESN Drama Team is a group of Erasmus students and ESN volunteers that was created in order to give Erasmus students a chance to express themselves through the art of theatre, to improve their social skills and escape their comfort zone. The outcome of this project is to present a theatrical performance, in order to show what the ESN Drama Team offered them. This year’s play was "Aladdin". The event took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, and was organised by the Drama Team in association with the Music Team of ESN IHU Thessaloniki, ESN AUTH and ESN UOM Thessaloniki. The inspiration behind this event was the desire to provide Erasmus students with the opportunity to have a more wholesome and qualitative ending to their Erasmus, by attending the theatrical performance, which their fellow Erasmus students along with the ESN volunteers organized.
