Goal of the Activity

By fostering critical thinking skills and encouraging responsible online behaviour, the goal was to empower students to navigate the online world more safely and contribute to combating the spread of misinformation.

Description

On 18 and 23 Abril 2024, we held two workshops for the students of the school "I.I.S. Antonello" The event consisted of two workshops aimed at teaching young people how to use web platforms and the internet responsibly. We focused on helping students recognise fake news from real news and gave them tools to fact-check information. With social media making it easy to share anything without verifying, these workshops were crucial in teaching critical thinking.

Through fun activities and discussions, we taught students to question sources, judge if information is credible, and understand the context of online news. We also gave them practical tips to navigate online information safely. Plus, we encouraged them to be responsible online citizens by sharing accurate information and not spreading misinformation
