The main goal was to involve Erasmus students in a full volunteering experience, working side by side with the section’s volunteers.
The activity took place during a travel-based event organized by an external stakeholder, providing an ideal setting for skill development. As the event was spread across different areas of the city, volunteers were required to plan effectively and manage their time, strengthening key organizational skills.
A central focus was on developing communication abilities: volunteers, including Erasmus students, engaged with the local community, gaining transferable communication skills that can be applied once they return to their home countries.
The event also hosted inspiring speakers, showing how passion can lead to career opportunities. Examples included professionals sharing how they built careers through social media teaching or photography for National Geographic, offering concrete insights into employability and career growth.
The dream is to foster Erasmus desire to become ESN volunteers in their countries
From July 4th to 6th, Ancona hosted "UlisseFest – the Festival of Travel" for the second year in a row. This event celebrates and highlights the experience of travelling from different perspectives... film, music, food, books and much more!
What could be better than an international team of volunteers for a festival dedicated to travel? That’s exactly why, once again this year, ESN Ancona collaborated with UlisseFest and Lonely Planet, bringing together a team of 20 young people – both volunteers and Erasmus students – to support the event!
