Objective / Goal of the activity

The purpose of this event was to give the Erasmus students the opportunity to explore new places and find out about the Greek culture through their visit to Archaeological sites.

Description

What have you been expecting from a trip in Greece? Great beaches and lively streets? Beautiful scenery and picturesque towns? Archaeological treasures and a tasty meal in a local tavern? In this very first trip of your Erasmus, you can have all that, and more!

Join us, in our trip to Mycenae and Nafplio!

We will visit the archaeological site of Mycenae, the greatest city of the Mycenaean civilization which dominated the eastern Mediterranean world for 3 centuries (15-12 BC) and played a vital role in classical Greek culture. We will have a tour in the ruins of the acropolis.

After that, we will visit Nafplio, one of the most elegant and romantic cities in the country. Nafplio was the first capital of Greece, and it's characterised by beauty, culture, history and tradition! There, we will have free time to taste the local cuisine, visit museums, swim, or just take a walk around! We’ll finish our trip in Palamidi Castle, one of the greatest achievements of Italian fortification architecture, still preserved in excellent condition, to enjoy a memorable sunset!
