Showing around the Marche region to the international students and teach them some traditional stuff
We travelled from Ancona to Ascoli Piceno by bus, leaving in the morning. Once in Ascoli Piceno we had the chance of visiting the old town with its attracions, on which are to be mentioned the Malatesta fortress, the church of San Francesco, Sant'emidio cathedral, Piazza del Popolo and many other.
Also we took the chance of knowing more about food culture in the region!
For example one thing we couldn't miss was to taste "Olive all'ascolana", a tipical food from Ascoli and one of the most famous symbols of Marche. We also tasted the Anisetta Meletti, a popular liquor that was invented in Ascoli.
In the Afternoon we mooved to San Benedetto del Tronto, a city on the adriatic coast were we had a walk on the promenade before coming back to ancona
The students were enthusiastic about the trip, Ascoli is a really charming town both from the artistical and gastronomic points of views
