The main goal of the activity was to promote a healthy lifestyle as part of the ESN Health and Well-being Week. The secondary goal was to introduce the student to new areas and nature in the city.
The Sunrise Beach Run was a morning run along the 2-mile-long beach boulevard in Aberdeen. Participants and organizers met before 8 o'clock in the morning in order to make it to the beach to see the beautiful sunrise! The run then continued to a small village at the end of the boulevard, where the most courageous participants went for a swim in the sea.
As a result of this activity, many students were able to start their day with an energizing and fun activity! We were able to show that exercising and enjoying the local nature can be one of the best ways to make it through the stressful deadlines. Furthermore, ESN Aberdeen successfully offered activities that were a bit out of the ordinary and provided company to participants to show that exercising in a group can be a lot of fun!
