Objective / Goal of the activity

The goal of the sushi workshop was to provide an opportunity for SPEAK students and volunteers to practice their languages and to learn more about Japanese culture through its most popular food, sushi.

Description

Volunteers brought every material and ingredient necessary and taught the participants how to cook sushi rice and make the famous sushi rolls. 

Result of the activity

After this workshop, volunteers and students left with a greater vocabulary knowledge of ingredients and food in several languages, and got to know and learn how to cook popular and beloved Japanese food.
