Raise awareness about people with hearing and/or speaking disabilities, removing stereotypes about what sign language is and how it works and discussing the topic of inclusive education with a person with experience in the topic.
As part of the Social Inclusion Days, we have prepared for a Spanish sign language workshop, where people can learn some curiosities and words. We concluded with a discussion in which everyone could give their opinion about this topic, and we learned about a person with hearing disability's experience.
Several students attended and enjoyed the time learning a few words and expressions in Spanish sign language (LSE), and also discussing about the experience of studying with a disability, this has been an experience that sure changed the minds of a few people and raised awareness about the topic.
