Social Inclusion Workshop 2020
During the workshop we introduced the students to the topic of Social Inclusion and Social Erasmus. The workshop started with an introduction round, followed by a small discussion about what Social Inclusion means for them personally. After that an informative video was shown about Social Erasmus. Furthermore, the facilitator explained the development of Social Erasmus, the main causes. Throughout the workshop the students were asked to actively participate and come up with potential ideas. There was room for each person to discuss their personal interests, as well as experience. Based on the discussions, the facilitator guided the students through the workshop and elaborated on the value of being socially engaged. Apart from that, it was highlighted that becoming an active citizen does not only concern volunteering, but also awareness raising campaigns. Therefore, the facilitator explained that she would be willing to help students to develop their professional/creative writing skills or content creation.
The workshop facilitator is one of the new coordinators of Social Inclusion of our section. She has a professional background concerning, among others, Social Inclusion and education; skilled and qualified to provide this workshop.
The workshop was visually supported by a presentation, videos, whiteboard.
The activity resulted in an interesting and pro-active workshop. The group came up with several potential projects. The participants have been asked if they would like to be engaged in the organization of the Social Inclusion Days 2020. Three of the participants became part of our project team.
The workshop facilitator developed a comprehensive PowerPoint with key points of discussion and important information for those who were not able to attend.
