- Welcoming the new international students in Porto;
- Showing them a little bit of the city that will host them for the next few months;
- Sharing with the international students a taste of how rich in history our city is.
Having just arrived in Porto, we bet you are already enjoying it and can’t wait to find out all the things there are to visit. So, what’s better than getting to visit an iconic building in Porto, all the while marveling at a bird’s eye view of all the important places in our fair city?
We start off with a visit to the ex-libris of Porto, the Clérigos Tower. The visit will take place at 18:00, and there you will be able to experience Porto from above, exactly 75 meters high, after climbing 225 steps. Sounds dizzying? Well, we promise you will love it! We bet that after all those steps, an appetite might have developed, so at around 19:30 we will have a dinner picnic, so we can get to know each other over some local treats and drinks. You should also bring your own food, in case you get hungry.
As a friendly reminder, due to the number of steps and the tightness of the tower, this activity is not recommended for people with claustrophobia or disabilities.
The international students always love this event. It's a great way to get to know Porto a bit more. Also, after the visit to Clérigos, we had a social gathering, that included some snacks financed by ESN Porto, at Jardim das Virtudes, so that the international students and ESN volunteers could get to know each other better.
