The purpose of this trip was for our exchange students to see a historical part of Greece, to realize how people are living so many years there and also to learn some information about Meteora.
The meeting time to get started from Volos was at 9:00 but because the participants were many, so we started 30 minutes later. We then took other Erasmus and Greek students from Larissa and headed straight to Meteora. 2 hours later we went to the mountain and visited 3 legendary monasteries hanging on the cliffs. We saw many people who lived there and learned about their living conditions. After sitting in the monastery for quite some time and learning a lot of information in each one, we set off back and stopped at Trikala to eat together at a tavern . We discussed a lot about the day and then we left back in Volos just in our time.
Everyone was very pleased as it was a journey that most of them were very eager to do. We learned important things, took many commemorative photos and got a really good bonding with all of us. At the tavern, though it was not mandatory most of us came and said things we liked about the trip. When we got back to our destination everyone was happy with the day's schedule and asked the ESN volunteers to do something similar again.
