Create an environment for the exchange of knowledge for different languages and cultures by meeting international students.
A large number of people from multiple nationalities gathered in a cozy bar to learn new languages and share those they had proficiency with.
The exchange of languages was incentivised by the introduction of two games:
- The first game consisted of each attendant receiving a word in a language they didn't know, and having to find a native speaker to explain its meaning.
- The second game was a board game named trivial pursuit, adapted with questions about language.
The attendance level was high, providing us with many languages to explore.
The first game fulfilled its role of being a quick conversation starter and directing the focus of the night to the exchange of languages.
The second game was a bit over-complex for the environment (bar with music) and amount of people, so few people fully explored it.
Nevertheless, the conversations were fruitful and well directed.
