Goal of the Activity

The goal of the activity was to demonstrate students different possibilities of starting a successful career in the Netherlands, answer questions about visa and residence rights, and show them perspectives and opportunities for after their studies. 

Description

Kickstart your career is an event aimed at international students and young professionals who want to pursue their career in the Netherlands. Whether it is as an employee, entrepreneur or starting a startup, we’ve got you covered!  Join our free event and find out how to start your career in the Netherlands.

Our expert speakers will share their knowledge during three info sessions each covering a specific topic. After each presentation there is time for questions. Afterwards we’ll have some drinks together. You need to sign up for each session individually to be sure of your spot!

Residence permits and possibilities

16:00-17:00 

Are you a non-EU student, about to graduate and ready to move forward? Or a young professional looking for options? During the residence permits and opportunities session the expert from the Netherlands Point of Entry will explain the career options and company landscape in the Netherlands and explain the requirements for 4 different permits: Startup visa, Essential personnel startup visa, Self- employed visa and Orientation year visa.

Starting a startup

16:00-17:00 

Do you have an awesome and innovative business idea and are wondering how to make that  into a thriving business? Join Startup Visa’s session to learn everything you need to know about starting a startup in the Netherlands! During the Starting a Startup session the expert will explain the steps to take, how to find a facilitator and where to find support in the process.

Career in the North 101

17:15-18:00 

This informative presentation by Make it in the North is for all English-speaking jobseekers (students, young and experienced professionals) who would like to learn more about how to find or create job opportunities for yourself in the Northern Netherlands.

This event is offered to you in collaboration with the international welcome center north and ESN Groningen (Erasmus Student Network).
