Raising awareness of different cultures, sharing food from students' home countries and having a cozy night together.
ESN Lapland hosted an International dinner where international exchange and degree students as well as local students were welcome. Every participant or a small group of participants prepared some typical food of their home country, or the country they feel connected to. Ingredients and the countries were marked clearly. The participants were encouraged to bring their own plates and cutlery. It was a fun night with a lot of food from all over the world.
There were a lot more international students coming than we expected. Students really enjoyed the night and they learnt about different cultures and food cultures all around the world.
