To promote international mobility to local Belgian students
It was an event organized in cooperation with the international relations office of our University. There was first a conference where Belgians who went on Erasmus or other kinds of mobility programmes were testifying about their experience to the local students. Then, there were a lot of different stands :
- Stands of Erasmus and international students presenting their country, university, food, culture, etc.
- Stands of student associations promoting international mobility (like our section, our AIESEC)
- Information about Erasmus and abroad masters possibilities
- Stands of external organizations offering other kinds of mobility programmes (languages classes, job & travel, volunteering, etc.)
We mainly took care of contacting the external organizations, assure the communication between the iro and our section, promote the event on the social networks and in the lectures, and making sure everything was settled and going the day itself.
It was a great event, with lots of Belgians that were interested. Erasmus and international students also seem to have had fun presenting their country and culture. There were also a lot of people at the conference, compared to last year where it caused a problem because not many people were attending the conference (but this year we changed the schedule and it worked better).
