The main objective of this event was to provide foreign students with an opportunity to try ice-skating. This way, they could enhance their sports abilities and have an active Sunday by learning traditional Slovak winter sport.
The ice-skating day was a part of the Welcome week when the international students gathered at the Winter stadium of Nitra. Students put on skates and with the help of ESN-ers, stepped on the slippery ice rink. Ice-skating for the first time can be a bit terrifying and difficult but with the right friends, nothing is impossible.
The international students had an opportunity to stand on the real ice, some of them for the very first time. Therefore, trying on ice-skates and skating was a challenging and adventurous activity at the same time. Despite a few falls, students enjoyed ice-skating very much, had a lot of fun with their fellow students and made unforgettable memories.
