Objective / Goal of the activity
The main goal was to raise awareness among exchange students in Tbilisi about what problems on animal protection is facing Georgia today, also to support shelter staff in day-to-day activities.
Description
With local and exchange students we visited one of the most widely known dog shelter in Georgia. We wanted to promote exchange students to involve as volunteers in such activities as dogs issue is too difficult to solve in Georgia Today. Also we tried to help staff in their tiresome work such as cleaning the open-air cages and medicine check.
Result of the activity
Local and exchange students found out about local animals conditions and gained volunteers experience. Also that was beneficial for local employees and animals themselves.
