Objective / Goal of the activity
To pick up food for those in need for Christmas.
Description
Some volunteers and erasmus students, paired up for turns to pick up food donated by the people from the city in a supermarket. Along the day, several couples of students and ESNers gave bags to the clients who paid whatever they wanted to donate. They also registered all the food collected 1900kg!
Result of the activity
We picked up in two days and two separate supermarkets the total amount of 1902 kg of food (pasta, legumes, milk) and babies diapers and other stuff like baby formula. Aproximately 250 people participated donating something, but it is difficult to estimate it.
