The goal of this activity was to understand the barriers that young people encounter when participating in EU opportunities and the issues they face in accessing their rights.
This focus group was organised within the framework of ESN France’s General Assembly in June 2023. It occurred on the Friday afternoon which was a time dedicated to various activities with volunteers arriving early.
Participants were all ESN volunteers and Students. Some have been mobile and others not.
Outcomes
The format allow space for debate, participants interacted a lot in an informal way which made participant feel at ease with eachother. Since, ESN France organised this focus group within the framework or its GA participants came from all around France. Diversity in profiles because some participants had already experienced international mobility and some had not yet. Young people do not usually have the space to reflect on their international mobilty and their sense of belonging to the EU.
