ESN Gent goes to Aalst Carnival

Just like many other countries, we also celebrate carnival.
Although it’s not as big as Rio de Janeiro, Aalst is known for organising the biggest carnival parade in Belgium. With over 100 floats, it attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year.

To give you a chance to experience this local tradition, we are taking you to Aalst Carnaval on Sunday, February 23rd! The main event is the parade which takes place at 1 p.m. After this, you're free to choose how to fill in your day. For example, you could join us for some drinks in the city centre or enjoy some rides on the funfair.
