Objective / Goal of the activity
Creating awareness about environmental sustainability in general, and pollution in particular.
Description
In Belgium we try to recycle the best we can considering our somewhat complicated rules. But still, a lot of people disregard these rules and go as far as to leave their garbage anywhere. To set an example we went to spend a day cleaning up the Belgian beach.
We went to Oostende by train and took the tram to Raversijde. From there on we returned to Oostende by foot. It was a walk of about 6 km.
Result of the activity
The participants thought it was a very useful activity. Some people even want to put up similar activities in their home country.
