Bringing Christmas cheer to the elderly of the nursing home by singing songs. Creating intergenerational bonds and having unique interactions.
Description
Let’s cheer up the elderly and get ourselves into true Christmas spirit!
ESN FINT will go with a group of volunteers to the Koukkuniemi nursing home to sing some Christmas songs. We will meet in front of the TOAS Lapinkaari building at 15:50 and walk together to Koukkuniemi. We will sing about 20 minute set of songs at two different sections of the building, so in total the visit will last for about an hour.
Result of the activity
Only half of the people who signed up actually turned up. But we had good time and the elderly seemed to enjoy it a lot. We had pleasant conversation and brought also chocolate to them.
