Goal of the Activity

The goal was to provide tips to people, exchanging between them, to the ones who were currently interested in applying for (first) jobs or internships, or any future application for their professional careers. A goal in the goal, was the attendees to exchange knowledge between themselves, more than a one-way communication - it was a round of experiences shared, to fill in gaps in the respective knowledges about the topic.
An additional goal was to provide even another service, for free as the whole event has been, that was the semi-professional photoshoots that happened on the Sunday, in order to provide interested people of pictures to be put on CVs or profession-related social networks.

Description

On this weekend, we wanted to provide tips to students about how to prepare, search, apply for (first) jobs, and which spirit to take up to face this challenge. The day of Saturday was held in the form of an exchange, in a university room. We had some speakers that initiated the conversation with some first topic kicked off, like "what to put in a CV", "which tool may be useful to build it up", and where to search for jobs and how to carry the application out. The exchange was successful, the attendees participated actively and all of us integrated our respective knowledges. We provided snacks drinks as well to entertain the conversations even after the plenary exchange.

On the Sunday, instead, we provided a photoshoot set (for free, as it has been the whole weekend event), where people could receive semi-professional pictures of themselves, to put on CV or professional social networks. The photographer was an ESNer, who volunteered for it and organised the day with different scheduled time-spots of 15 minutes, which could be booked by students in order to have an efficient queue and reasonable waiting time. The Google Form feedback has not been spoiled yet. The vocal and immediate feedback we received were very positive, the exchange sounded very useful, and if we have been able to make a difference even just to one person, to let them save time, preserve their positive vibe, and maybe receive that job they were applying for, this can be a huge difference in the trajectory of their (professional) lives.
