The main goal of this activity was to introduce incoming Erasmus students to the most iconic building of Bucharest, the Palace of Parliament.
The moment you've all been waiting for has come! We are pleased to invite you to visit the most famous building of Bucharest, Palace of the Parliament, hosted by ESN ASE Bucharest, ESN Poli and ESN UniBucharest. Palace of Parliament, more commonly referred to as the People’s House (Casa Poporului) is the closest thing to the idea of symbol of Bucharest. This bewilderingly monumental structure is the second largest administrative building in the world, only after the Pentagon and it is often compared with the Egyptian or Mexican pyramids. The construction works started in 1984, by order of Nicolae Ceauşescu.
