Goal of the Activity

The main objective of this event was to promote international volunteering on excahnge, emphasizing the importance of actively contributing to voluntary efforts on a global scale.

Description

On February 27, 2024, the Erasmus in Action conference took place to welcome international students to the university. The event, held at the University of Florence, involved 25 students participating in the Erasmus+ project and those who chose Firenze as their destination for international university mobility. The "Welcome Presentation" was organized by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) of Firenze (@esnflorentia) and ESN Italy.

The young members of ESN Florentia, along with Donna Giorgi, the Event Manager of ESN Italy, welcomed the students.

The "Welcome Presentation" marked the beginning of the "Welcome Week" organized by ESN. After the institutional greetings, the focus of the conference shifted to the importance of volunteering in mobility, promoting the values and motto of ESN ("Students Helping Students"). Moreover, this was an opportunity to discuss EGIA with students and promote its importance from both the perspective of active citizenship and the European Parliament elections, as well as the value of volunteering.
